"An entry into the field of modern orchestrions is this “Universal Nickelodeon” made by the Universal Piano Company of Los Angeles, California. The model shown is from a 1979 sales brochure. Instrumentation consists of a piano which is advertised as a “full 88-note direct action on large rugged perimeter plate,” xylophone or orchestra bells, wood block, tambourine, triangle, cymbal, mandolin, snare drum, and bass drum. It uses type “O” Coinola orchestrion rolls wound on small-diameter spools. "
