Phoenician coin
Description
English: A copper alloy coin from Phoenicia. It may have been minted at Aradus in c. 350 – 332 BC. The obverse shows a turreted bust right of Tyche. The reverse is very worn but shows the prow of a galley right, though all that is obvious is two rectangular blocks. The inscription above the prow is illegible. It has a diameter of 17.62mm, thickness 2.92mm, weight 4.69g. For reference see Sylloge Nummorum Graecorum Copenhagen, Phoenicia, pl. I, c.f. 27-9.
