Summary

Description
English: In the Company of Great Scientists (phingbodhipakkiya_amanda_07.jpg)

Last exhibited: March 2020 Dimensions: Twenty 17” busts Materials: PLA, acrylic paint Of the over 5,000 public statues displaying notable or historic figures in the United States, only 7.5% depict women. This is a disappointing message and does not reflect the many contributions women have made to our society and our understanding of the Universe. This piece challenges these antiquated notions by using 3D printing technology to recognize

the legacy of of female pioneers in science, technology, engineering, and math.
