English: The Perkins SMART Brailler combines the Next Generation v2.0 model with modern audio/video technology (a speaker and a digital screen). The added accessibility allows sighted teachers to see what their students are typing in braille; it allows students who are blind or partially sighted to hear what they're typing. All of these modifications were made in an effort to further improve braille literacy for blind, visually impaired and sighted readers alike.
