Summary

Description
English: Perigona nigriceps (Dejean). While most adventive carabid species have been introduced from Europe, this species, which is now subcosmopolitan, is probably native from southern Asia where it is common around the Indian Ocean. Contrary to European adventive species which have been introduced to North America through ballast and nursery stocks, this species was probably transported around the world among stored products on ships.
