English: Penrice fishpond This was the stewpond for Penrice Castle, used for keeping live fish (usually carp) until they were needed in the kitchen. It is divided into 4 sections, two of which have sluices; it would have been supplied with water would have been drawn off the stream, as was the mill close by.
