Summary

Description
English: The Myd, Abergwyngregyn. This large mound (of which only a small part can be seen in the photo) is all that remains of the Castle built by Llewelyn the Great, most famous of all the rulers of independent Wales. It was from this castle also that his grandson, Llewelyn ap Grufydd (Llewelyn the Last) declined Edward I's invitation to pay homage, an act of defiance which led to Edward's ruthless conquest of Wales. http://www.aberfalls-tavern.co.uk/html/about_aber.html
