Summary

Description Pelham Institute, Upper Bedford Street, Kemptown, City of Brighton and Hove, England. (Picture taken from the north.) A working men's club, social venue and hostel, built in 1877 by Thomas Lainson on behalf of the Vicar of Brighton. The style is High Victorian Gothic. It has been converted into flats by a housing association. Listed at Grade II by English Heritage (IoE Code 481395)
