Description The Pearl Coast Zoo was established by Baron Alistair McAlpine in Broome in the 1980s and many examples of endangered species found a home there. Unfortunately it was closed around 1992 and the animals sold to zoos around Australia. This was the entrance building of the zoo in 1989.
