Summary

Description
English: BAFTA Children's Academy Awards 2015: Kids BAFTAs Red Carpet Event | Beau's Toy Farm

BAFTA Children's Awards 2015 was 22nd November 2015 and I was there on the Red Carpet, chatting to the nominees. http://www.toyfarm.net

Bananagrams were sponsoring the after show party and I was there meeting and greeting the guests as they arrived for the awards ceremony.

The Kid's BAFTAs has entered its 20th year and I had the immense pleasure of speaking with some very talented people.

I bumped into Sam Nixon and Mark Rhodes, both nominees in two categories. For the PRESENTER category, 'Sam & Mark's Big Christmas Wind Up' and also the Children's ENTERTAINMENT category. They were later awarded the best presenter BAFTA! Congratulations to them! http://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/prog...

Next, I met Paul King who directed Paddington Bear. He told me he is working on a sequel to the popular feature film. And quite right too, because a little later he picked up his Kid's BAFTA award for Best Feature Film in 2015 beating some other amazing films; Big Hero 6 (I personally love this film), Inside Out and Shaun the Sheep.

I also met actor and television presenter Keith Chegwin at the British Academy Children's Awards. He was there at the Children's BAFTAs to present an award. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keith_C...

It was a joy to talk to the presenters of "Operation Ouch!" - Alexander and Chris Van Tulleken who kindly reassured me they were both real doctors! Amazingly, they are twins working in different parts of the world (and I did correctly identify the elder twin!), plus I will let them into a little secret about the ties. Green is my favourite colour - All you partners know that already!

You can find out more about Operation Ouch! here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/cbbc/shows/opera...

Finally, I met Baroness Floella Benjamin OBE. She is a remarkable woman who set up the children's BAFTAs 20 years ago. She was making television programs when my dad was a little boy!

The Children's BAFTA 2015 red carpet arrivals were all amazing. It's a shame I didn't get to meet Harry Hill - Boy, did I have a few questions for him, and a number of other stars that darted into the Kids BAFTA academy awards event rather too quickly!

You can find out all the winners and nominees at BAFTAs main page here: http://awards.bafta.org/award/2015/ch...
