[edit]Description | Picture of Michelle Stuart's mixed media installation Passages: Mesa Verde (1977-1979) at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington, D.C., in 2022. An installation composed of a large tan/grey rectangular handmade paper sheet pinned to a gallery wall with two small photo prints pinned behind glass on either side of the paper. 11 piles of tan-colored square tiles made from soil, each tile around 1 foot by 1 foot each, sit on the floor directly in front of the large paper sheet. |
