Gravure de la plante type qui a servi à la description botanique de l'espèce d'orchidée Paphinia grandis Rchb.f. ex Moore. La plante a fleuri vers 1884 chez W.Williams Esq. à Eccleshall (Angleterre, Staffordshire). La gravure est l'oeuvre de John Nugent Fitch, illustrateur anglais (1840-1927) et est extraite de l'ouvrage de Warner & Williams: Orchid Album t.4: 145. 1885.

N.B.: Heinrich Reichenbach précise dans ses notes que cette illustration est : "icon nimis decora", c'est à dire une image trop embellie.
