Description
Deutsch: Zu sehen ist die Stadt Wetter (Ruhr). Die Aufnahme wurde von der Burgruine Volmarstein aus gemacht. Im Vordergrund sieht man deutlich das Gewerbegebiet Wetter unmittelbar am Fluss Ruhr gelegen. Zentral liegt die Altstadt von Wetter (auch „Alt-Wetter“ genannt) mit ihrem schönen historischen Rathaus. Nicht zu übersehen ist auch der markante Schornstein „Cuno“ des Cuno-Heizkraftwerkes in Herdecke. Im Hintergrund liegt das Ardeygebirge.
English: You can see the city Wetter (Ruhr). The image was taken from castle Volmarstein. In the foreground you can see the industrial area Wetter which border on the river Ruhr. In the central of this image you can see the old city center of Wetter (Ruhr) which is also called Alt-Wetter. There ist a very nice historical city hall, too. You can also see the very significant stack called "Cuno". This stack is a building which is part of the Cuno heating power station in Herdecke. In the background are the Ardey hills.
