Summary

Description
English: A view of the north end of the "New Boiler Shop" of Palmers Shipbuilding and Iron Company, published in 1900. Many of the boiler parts shown in this image are for Reed water tube boilers, patented by J. W. Reed, manager of Palmers' engine works. These include the top water chamber with dome at near right and the triangulated items further back, which are top and bottom water chambers with downcomer tubes attached.
