English: Graphic comparing size estimates of various species of Palaeotherium. P. magnum magnum is based on the complete skeleton from Mormioron, FSL 213740, as described in Roman 1922. P magnum girondicum is based on the complete skeleton from Vitry-sur-Siene, MNHN 1873-528. All other species are scaled to cranial specimens as measured and reconstructed in Remy 1992, with limb material as figured and measured in de Blainville 1839-1864, with the exception of P. giganteum (which uses the holotype material described in Cuesta 1993), P. castrense robiacense (which is scaled to crania described in Remy 2015) and the two species of subgenus Franzenitherium, which incorporate associated jaw and limb material assigned to P. duvali as described Gervais 1859)
