English: Geological Relationships of the presently active Okataina Volcanic Center in the Taupo Volcanic Zone, New Zealand. The Paeroa Fault and its splay Ngapouri-Rotomahana Fault to its south are shown. Identified are the approximate outlines of the Rotorua, Okataina Volcanic Center (Ōkataina Caldera which contains with in it the Rotoiti Caldera, the now believed non existent Haroharo Caldera, the Matahina Caldera, the Utu Caldera, and the postulated Kawerau Caldera), Kapenga Caldera, Reporoa Caldera and the recently characterised Omanawa Caldera. The volcanic features of the Okareka Embayment, Rotoma Embayment (Caldera) and Puhipuhi Embayment (Basin) within the Okataina Volcanic Center are identified. Lake Taupo is identified for orientation.
