DescriptionPackington Hall - geograph.org.uk - 1055255.jpg
English: Packington Hall. The "new" hall was built in 1693 in the Italian Renaissance style and replaced 1055253. In 1772 the house was much extended and improved. The exterior was re-clad in the Palladian style by Matthew Brettingham and the interior redesigned by the Italian architect Joseph Bonomi.
At one time the hall was the home of Jane Lane, who helped Charles II to escape from England disguised as her servant.
It is now the home of the Earls of Aylesford and the present incumbent, the 12th Earl, is now styled Lord Guernsey.
