Summary

Description
English: Packhorse Bridge, Spofforth Mill, Spofforth, North Yorkshire. The bridge is near the old corn mill, which is now a private house. Was it built across the mill race, or was this the former course of the River Crimple? The latter is now 50m away. 19th-century maps show an old course for the river in roughly this position, whilst the channel beneath the bridge is now dry with no sign of a mill race.
