Summary

Description
English: The PS Gem was constructed in 1876 in Moama, originally as a barge, becoming a paddlesteamer following her boiler installation in 1877. Following an extensive career as a cargo and passenger steamer, she was purchased by and towed to the Swan Hill Folk Museum in 1962. She was towed here by the PS Oscar W, and has remained here since.
