SONY Playstation 2 Slim version

An Eye Toy and the new slim SONY Playstation 2 sits on top of the original thick Playstation 2 for comparison. The powersupply has been externalized as an AC adaptor (shown on the right). The iLink port and the expansion port at the back is no longer available in the new hardware format. The DVD loading tray is simplified as a flip up cover. An ethernet and phone jack are added at the back of the machine.

Eine Eye Toy und die neuere schlanke Playstation 2 Slim liegen zum Größenvergleich auf der ursprünglichen dicken Playstation 2. Zur Energieversorgung dient ein externer AC Adapter (siehe rechts). Der iLink-Port und der Expansions-Port an der Rückseite sind im neuen Hardware-Format nicht mehr vorhanden. Der DVD-Zugang wurde vereinfacht und öffnet sich nach drücken an der Oberseite. Ein integrierter Ethernet Port für Network-Gaming wurde hinzugefügt.
