Summary

Description A U.S. Army Air Forces North American P-51D Mustang landing at an airfield in Western Europe during the Second World War. The squadron code appears to be "7F" which would be the 485th Fighter Squadron, 370th Fighter Group. This group flew the Lockheed P-38 Lightning and converted to the P-51D during February/March 1945 while stationed at Ophoven Airfield (Y-32), Belgium. The Group then moved to Gütersloh Airfield (Y-99), Germany, on 20 April 1945.
