Summary

Description
English: Representation of overtourism in Venice. The graph highlights the proportion between the number of residents and the number of tourist arrivals every five years from 2008 until 2023. The graph focuses only on the Historic Center and the Estuary area, excluding Mainland (Mestre).

The graph shows how the flux of tourists has increased significantly in the Historic Centre and decreased slightly in the Estuary, but still remaining higher in proportion to the number of citizens present in both areas of the city.

In the last line of the graphs, the increase in the total number of tourists is shown so that the change is visually immediate.
