Dansk: Gamle Minder.
Object type painting

Description
The experts at Bruun Rasmussen assumed that this was the painting exhibited by Bache as Gamle Minder (Old Memories) at Charlottenborg in 1912. It was old memories as the Horseguard had been disbanded in 1866. One of the Guard's trumpeters was the composer H.C. Lumbye, who served there as a musician from 1829 to 1843. Tradition has it that Bache showed him as one of the trumpeters leading the Guard. Source: https://trompeterlaug.dk/galleri-iii/ (in Danish).
