Türkçe: Resimde erkeği görülen gemsbok (Oryx gazella), oryx cinsinden iri bir antilop türüdür. Adı Afrikaner dilinde "çengel boynuzlu keçi" anlamına gelir. Bir erkeğin yönettiği 10 ilâ 40 hayvandan oluşan sürüler halinde gezen gemsboklar genelde zebra, ceylan ve başka antilop türleriyle karışık sürüler oluştururlar.
