Summary

Description
English: General view of Oruaiwi, also known as Waituhi, a settlement in the valley of the Taringamotu River. A bush railway track runs through the settlement, and the houses are wooden, with corrugated iron chimneys. Native forest is visible in the background, with tree stumps among the buildings. Photograph taken by Albert Percy Godber, circa 1922. This image is a film copy negative taken by Godber from a print in his album Vol 109, p 160 (PA1-q-102), including the inscription which reads "General view of Oruaiwi".
