DescriptionOrgan at Brownsover - geograph.org.uk - 1210753.jpg
English: Organ at Brownsover, near to Newbold on Avon, Warwickshire, Great Britain.
In the church of St Michael and All Angels at Brownsover (now in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust) is this Chair Organ which was formerly in the old chapel of St John's College, Cambridge. It dates from after the Restoration of 1660 and was considered by Pevsner to be a German instrument, though Clutton & Nilland ascribe it probably to Thomas Thamar. Some of the elaborate carved woodwork may have come from other sources, probably Flemish.
