| Description |
English: The mill was erected in 1840 and was recorded as the second only tower-mill in the Malmesbury district by 1850. Reports however indicate that the original freehold grant of the farm Johannesfontein was made as early as 1801, which leaves the possibility that the mill may have been built well before.
