Description
English: Former railway station, Omeath, Carlingford Lough. The Dundalk, Newry and Greenore railway from Dundalk to Newry (Dublin Bridge) opened in 1876. It was owned by the LMS and remained independent of the GNR(I) and CIE until closure on 31 December 1951. It was formally wound up in 1957. This is Omeath station, in immaculate condition with platform still intact, 55 years after closure.
