English: Olin Merrill Jeffords (center) was a Vermont attorney and judge. He served as Chief Justice of the Vermont Supreme Court from 1955 to 1958. He took the oath of office from Florida judge Flem C. Dame (left) while on vacation. Retired Vermont Associate Justice Allen R. Sturtevant (right) served as a witness. Image cropped from original.
