English: Old Surgeons' Hall, Surgeons Square. In 1697 the Edinburgh surgeons moved to this building, by James Smith, which now belongs to Edinburgh University (access via High School Yards). The surgeons moved to their present building in Nicolson Street in 1832. Originally two storeys, it was modified in the nineteenth century.
