English: This photograph was taken by me at the Kaitabhesvara (also spelt Kaitabheshvara or Kaitabheshwara) temple in Kubatur (also spelt Kubattur, Kuppattur or called Kotipura) in the Shivamogga district (Shimoga), Karnataka state, India. The temple was built around 1100 AD during the reign of Hoysala King Vinayaditya, a feudatory of the Western Chalukya emperor Vikramaditya VI. The architectural style is very Chalukyan. The old Kannada inscription is dated 1241-1249 A.D.
