DescriptionOld Kannada inscription (10th-11th century) in Kalleshvara temple at Bagali.JPG
English: This photograph was taken by me at the Kalleshvara temple (also spelt Kalleshwara or Kallesvara) at Bagali (called Balgali in ancient times), Davangere district, Karnataka state, India. The temple construction was started in the late Rashtrakuta period and was completed by Western (Kalyani) Chalukya King Tailapa II in 987 A.D. All the 36 inscriptions discovered in the temple complex have been assigned to the 10th-11th century period by the Archaeological Survey of India
