Summary

  • English: Main area in which OLD DUTCH was spoken. Untill the end of the 16th century the southern border of the Dutch-speaking region ran from the French port of Etaples via Montreuil, Hesdin and Bethune to the town of Lille (Dutch : "Rijsel").
