DescriptionOkehampton, Museum of Dartmoor Life - geograph.org.uk - 86250.jpg
English: Okehampton: Museum of Dartmoor Life. The museum is believed to stand on the site of one of the towns watermills. The waterwheel here was rescued from Coombe Park Farm, now under the Roadford Reservoir. It is a 16 by 3 overshot. According to staff at the museum its twin is the decayed wheel at The Highwayman Inn, Sourton. This reputedly came from the saw mill in Bridestowe village. The Nissan Micra gives a sense of scale.
