English: ELLICOTT’S MILL; THE FIRST MILL WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1755 BY JOHN BALLENDINE BUT LATER WAS RUNS BY NATHANIEL ELLICOTT. THE MILL WAS THE FIRST AUTOMATED GRIST MILL IN THE UNITED STATES. IT REMAINED IN OPERATION FOR 175 YEARS UNTIL DESTROYED BY FIRE BUT THE MILL HOUSE STILL REMAINS AS A MUSEUM. Located in Prince William County, Virginia, USA
