Description
English: Altar of the St. Martin Church in Warsaw. The profuse late baroque altar was constructed in 1752 according to design by Karol Bay from 1737.[1] It was painted and gilded by Łukasz Smuglewicz between 1747-1748 and adorned with sculptures by Jan Jerzy Plersch (1748).[1] The altar was destroyed during the severe bombing of the church by the Germans in 1944.[1]
