Description
English: Folios 117b-118a of the North French Hebrew Miscellany manuscript. - In fol 117b King David is characterized by his golden crown and his cloak trimmed with blue-and-white vair fur. He is playing the harp. In fol 118a Abraham, wearing a pointed hat, stands under a canopy within a house, corresponding to the biblical text: 'and he sat in the tent door...' (Gen.18:1) 'and lifted his eyes and looked... three men stood by him' (Gen 18:2). The lower scene progresses to verse 8: 'and he stood by them under the tree and they did eat'.
