English: North British Railway 57' Lavatory Third No.1748 (LNER No.31748), arc roofed, non-gangwayed, compartment coach built at NBR's Cowlairs Works in 1905; converted to a mess/dormitory van 1947 (became BR No.DE 970012), withdrawn and sent for preservation to the Strathspey Railway in 1973.
