English: Nordpolet is a licensed liquor store in Longyearbyen, Norway. It's a wordplay on the Norwegian name for the North Pole, Nordpolen. All liquor stores in Norway are state-run, Vinmonopolet, "the wine monopoly". So the monopoly for sales of liquor near the North Pole must of course be called Nordpolet.
