Norsk bokmål: Selfangstskipet «Jason» i isen. Skipet hadde Grønlandsekspedisjonen om bord. Den forlot skipet i båter den 17. juli 1888 utenfor Sermilik (Grønlands østkyst). Ett av bildene fra ekspedisjonen over Grønland i perioden juli 1888 til mai 1889. Fridtjof Nansen sammen med 5 norske deltagere krysset Grønland i løpet av en 42-dagers skiferd fra øst- mot vestkysten.
English: The seal hunting vessel «Jason» in the ice. The ship had the members of the Greenland expedition on board. They left the ship in boats on July 17, 1888 outside of Sermilik (on the east coast of Greenland). One of the pictures from the expedition to Greenland in the period July 1888 to May 1889. Fridtjof Nansen together with 5 other Norwegian participants crossed Greenland in the course of a 42-day skiing trip from the east to the west coast.
Deutsch: Das Robbenfangschiff ³Jason² im Eis. Das Schiff hatte die Grönlandexpedition an Bord. Die verliess das Schiff in Booten am 17. Juli 1888 ausserhalb von Sermilik (Ostküste Grönlands). Eines der Bilder von der Expedition über Grönland in der Zeit Juli 1888 bis Mai 1889. Fridtjof Nansen überquerte Grönland zusammen mit 5 norwegischen Teilnehmer im Laufe einer 42-tägigen Skitour von der Ost- zur Westküste.
