Summary

Description
English: Nine Stones stone circle, East Moor Sometimes called the Nine Stones of Altarnun, although they are far from any settlement, out on the open moor. The surrounding grass shows that the area is heavily grazed, and the deep muddy puddles around the stones were made by the hooves of large herbivores who use the stones as scratching posts - there are few trees out here that could be used in that way.
