Description
English: Nimogram Stupa Swat, Pakistan. Nimogram Stupa, Swat. This Buddhist Gandhara site dates from the Kushan period (1st – 3rd century CE) and is unique in that it consists of three main stupas, one for each of the three principles of Buddhism: the Buddha as teacher, Dharma (the Buddhist doctrine), and Sangha (the Buddhist order).
