en période pré-révolutionnaire le patronyme était probablement "d’Alayrac", en période immédiatement post-révolutionnaire le titre de "Chevalier" devait être omis

Français : Il n’existe aucun signe distinctif de la Légion d’honneur ce qui situe le portrait avant le 17 juillet 1804 alors que le fac-similé de la signature renvoie à une date postérieure au 3 mai 1809
