Summary

Description
English: This is a relative energy diagram of a butane molecule, showing all of its possible Newman projection conformations and the relative energies associated with keeping the butane molecule in that conformation. This takes into account staggered and eclipsed conformations, as well as gauche and anti interactions between the methyl groups attached to the carbons in the carbon-carbon bond.
