English: Newlay Bridge A cast iron bridge erected by John Pollard of Newlay House in 1819. The castings were made by Aydon and Elwell of Shelf Iron Works, near Bradford, Yorkshire. Built wide enough to take carts, the Listed bridge was closed to traffic in 1986 due to concerns over its strength. It is now only open to pedestrian traffic.
