A cropped copy of a photograph of a decomposed whale (the "New Zealand Globster") published in the Auckland Star (Auckland, New Zealand), 23 March 1965, p. 1. It is reversed left-to-right compared with the copy in the Auckland Star.

Copyright: Unknown. Ellis (p. 317) says "Greenwell (1988) reproduced a couple of photographs of the New Zealand globster, but they are without specific identification or credit" and the illustration credits (Ellis p. 429) say "Photo courtesy of Richard Greenwell and Sidney K. Pierce".
