DescriptionNew York State Supreme Courthouse 60 Centre Street from southwest.jpg
The New York State Supreme Court courthouse at 60 Centre Street on Foley Square in the Civic Center district of Manhattan, New York City was built 1913-27 as the New York County Courthouse, completion having been delayed by World War I, and was designed by Guy Lowell in the Classical Revival style. It features a Corinthian portico and WPA-sponsored paintings by Attilio Pusterla inside from the 1930s. Not obvioous from the outside, a plan viewe of the building shows that it is laid out in a hexagon with an interior courtyard. Both the interior and exterior are NYC landmarks.
