Summary
| Description |
English: The eastern (Illinois) tower and deck of the Stan Musial Veterans Memorial Bridge under construction in January, 2013, as viewed from the western (Missouri) side of the river. The western tower and deck were at a similar stage of construction at this time with approximately one third of the main structure in place on each side of the river, the middle third yet to be built. The level of the river in this photo is exceptionally low because of a drought. The bridge had not yet received its official name when this photograph was made, hence the file name with the informal moniker New Mississippi River Bridge. |
