Summary
DescriptionNest Design (temnothorax rugatulus).jpg |
English: Common laboratory nest setting for Temnothorax rugatulus. Two glass slides sandwich a balsa wood cutout. The ants nest within the cutout and can exit through a small slit (seen at the bottom). Here, the top glass slide has been removed to access the colony. The off-white splotches are the brood. The queen can be seen on the right side against the wall of the cutout. |
