Deutsch: Der Schnepfenaal (Nemichthys scolopaceus) ist ein weltweit in allen Ozeanen vorkommender Meeresfisch der Familie Schnepfenaale (Nemichthyidae).
English: The Slender snipe eel (Nemichthys scolopaceus, also known as the Deep Sea Duck) is a fish that can weigh less than 100 grams (3.5 oz), yet reach 1.5 metres (4.9 ft) in length. It's a member of the Snipe Eel family, Nemichthyidae.
Svenska: Trådål (Nemichthys scolopaceus) är en ålliknande art av fisk som hör till familjen skärfläcksålar, även kallade snäppålar (Nemichthyidae).
